I have been an avid R user since 2013. My R journey started in the classroom as a student. Subsequently, in the lab as a data analyst dealing with cardiovascular data and presently, a forensic data analytics associate in EY. You can find my current scripts here.
I have developed and taught multiple foundational level Python courses since 2015. My pool of students are mainly from the Polytechnic level. At work, I conduct mini workshops for my colleagues to help them gain an understanding into the fundamentals of Python.
In my line of work, I’ve been exposed to all sorts of data, both structured and unstructured. I enjoy performing exploratory data analysis, visualizing data, building predictive models (makes me feel like a fortune teller! :D) and translating them into business insights. PS: I love working with time-series!
I’m passionate about helping businesses undergo a technological shift into the machine learning arena. Since 2017, I’ve utilized multiple machine learning techniques, namely: classification, regression, decision trees and clustering. Recently, I’ve developed a keen interest in using XGBoost for fraud identification at EY Singapore.
Beyond my technical skills, my background as a content editor at The Savvy Buddy allows me to craft stories in an engaging and compelling way to audiences from all walks of life. In December 2018, The Savvy Buddy has been acquired by Dollars and Sense through a private offer.
I jumped on the drone craze bandwagon in 2018 and it was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. Flying a drone can be a very enjoyable experience. If you haven’t flown a drone, yet, I recommend you do so. Drop me a message here if you love drone photography too.
